A few days after a man was caught on camera in Miami, Florida devouring a homeless man's face in broad daylight comes another similar case rearing its very ugly head. News outlets are reporting that Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old student of Maryland, admitted to not only killing his roommate Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie (a recipient of many master degrees, and of Ghanian descent), but additionally to cutting the victim's body, and eating the heart and parts of the brain. Kinuya kept the victim's body parts in metal tins, and it was his brother who discovered the gruesome scene of hands and a head in the tins. He then confronted Alexander with their father present.
As reported by CNN, Kinyua is being held at the Hartford Country Dentention Center with a first-degree murder charge, alongside first and second degree assault. The rest of Agyei-Kodie's parts were found in a nearby dumpster and close to the Town Baptist Church. Kinyua has ties to Morgan State University as an engineering student, as did Agyei-Kodie.
Investigators are also looking at the emerging recreational street drug referred to as "bath salts," which has lead to awful moments like this. Bath salt drugs cause the user to react aggressively and cause heightened levels of paranoia and hypothermia.
"Bath salts" were banned in America by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, according to ABC News.
