Only four days after being released by the New England Patriots, wide
receiver Chad Ochocinco has signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins and
will be playing in his hometown this upcoming NFL season.
The signing, which went down on Monday, came after the Dolphins
invited the 34-year-old wide receiver to a workout. The team isn't too
strong at the position and could definitely use a threat like Ochocinco
running routes for them.
It is reported that Chad will join his new team for the remainder of
their Organized Team Activities, which will continue through Wednesday.
Chad's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, took to Twitter to congratulate his client.
"Congrats to Chad & his family on signing with the Dolphins.
This a great fit for Chad, the team and Dolphin fans. It's nice to come
home."
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Ochocinco signed a 1-year deal with the team.
"As OCNN reported, WR Chad @ochocinco signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins."
