Much
has been said about Nicki Minaj's well documented Summer Jam
performance cancellation. Now more and more well known figures in hip
hop are beginning to weigh in on the incident.
Rap newcomer Kendrick spoke his mind lastly on the matter
and now his mentor, the legendary Dr. Dre, shares his thoughts about
what went down, tackling the situation from two different angles.
When speaking in regards to Nicki Minaj, Dre feels that she still should have continued with her planned set.
"First of all, Nicki Minaj was the only one who ruined 55,000 fans'
expectations of the night. It has nothing to do with Rosenberg. You go
out there and you perform for your fans."
But Dre didn't choose sides or show favoritism as he had a few choice words in regards to Peter Rosenberg as well.
"We have too many what I call 'semi-super experts' who always try to
redefine hip hop from its infancy. She's an artist whether I like her
or I don't like her. My daughter loves her and thinks that she's the
world, and that's the case."
