Some websites suggest Kanye’s wealth totals $101,329,500, while others list his fortune at $70 or $90 million. In any case, Kanye West placed 45th on Forbes’ 2012 list of the Most Powerful Celebrities. Kanye’s income in the previous year is listed as $35 million—a sum that, amazingly, only lands him at No. 53 when the list is sorted by pay.
Musicians who made more than Kanye include Rihanna ($53 million), Lady Gaga ($52 million), and Britney Spears ($58 million). But Kanye shouldn’t feel too bad. In his song “Gold Digger,” when he rapped, “He’s got that ambition, baby,” he might have been talking about himself. Even if his net worth is only $70 million—pocket change compared to, say, Diddy’s $550 million fortune—West is a musician, producer, fashion designer, and record label boss.

(Last year, Forbes tells us, she pulled in a cool $18 million.) When it comes to Kanye and Kim, neither is a gold digger—they’re both loaded.
