“I’m trying to remain the guy who will shock the shit out of you with who he’s on a record with,” he revealed to the DJ.
Giving as much detail as possible without spoiling the surprises he has in store, T.I. revealed a collaboration with Kayne West may make the final cut, but is still in the works.
“When you do records with Kanye, you do the record initially, then you go back to it and you try and perfect some things that you feel you could’ve done better. I’m in phase 2 of that,” he said.
T.I.P. also worked on a Rico Love-produced track with Usher that has the Atlanta rapper dabbling in a new genre. It’s “a dope party record with some dance influence and some urban influence,” he said.
While Trouble Man will already have an all-star line-up with the former, including other appearances from Katy Perry, Satigold, and Bruno Mars, T.I. is very excited about his collaboration with Andre 3000.
“That’s a proud moment for me,” T.I. shared with DJ Whoo Kid.
It sounds like T.I. is ready to protect his crown.
