Fort Lawn man charged with Lancaster break-ins

A Chester County man remains behind bars following a string of car break-ins in Lancaster.

    Carlos Damon Smith, 37, of Fort Lawn, was charged  Thursday, June 7, with breaking and entering into a vehicle – two counts, pointing and presenting a firearm and armed robbery.

    Lancaster County sheriff’s deputies went to a Powell Avenue home after a resident saw a man later identified as Smith inside his vehicle, rummaging through items inside, according to a sheriff’s office press release issued Tuesday, June 12.
