The woman told police that while she was getting ready for work at McDonalds, she heard a child cry. She looked outside and saw a little girl with a blue shirt and a diaper laying in the parking lot, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The woman said she was unable to find the child’s parent so she called McDonalds and told her boss. Her supervisor told her to bring the child to work with her and then call the police, the report states.
When police arrived on scene, a female customer at the restaurant said the girl was her male cousin’s baby. The woman called her cousin, who drove to McDonalds and said that the child’s mother lived with another man at Stonehaven.
Soon, the child’s mother and her boyfriend arrived at McDonalds. The mother said she was working at Jack in the Box while her boyfriend was watching her daughter. The boyfriend told police that he worked third shift and put the child down for a nap.
He then fell asleep, the report states. He said the apartment was locked and he isn’t sure how the girl got out the apartment.
No arrests were made.
