Yo Gotta Hit with Lawsuit for Alleged Copyright Infringement

According to reports, Memphis rapper Yo Gotti is being sued over the alleged unauthorized use for a beat he used in 2010 on a track called "28 Bars".

Eric Dion Flemming, who filed the suit against Gotti in addition to his manager Brandon Cottrell, says that he emailed the beat to Starlito who's an artist signed to Yo Gotti's Inevitable Entertainment label. Starlito then forwarded the instrumental to Gotti.

Flemming says Gotti has yet to compensate him for the use of his beat.

He also contends that when he contacted the rapper about this issue, Yo Gotti did not deny the infringement claim in his response.

Since the track was released in 2010, it has been available for purchase through a number of retailers.
