According to the San Antonio Express-News, Sam Hurd's cousin, 46 year-old Jesse Tyrone Chavful was arrested for conspiracty for acting as an intermediary for Hurd, along with charges of attempting to make a signifcant purchase of drugs to be resold.
Hurd, the former reciever for the Dallas Cowboys and, recently, with the Chicago Bears.
Hurd was arrested in December outside a Chicago-area steakhouse after recieving a kilogram of cocaine from an informant and an undercover officer. He also made himself out to be a major drug trafficker, despite the conflicting reports of his anticipated and actual network of drug sales state.
However, despite all of Hurd's charges, Chavful was, before and after, involved in buying and selling drugs, with or without Hurd's involvement.
